Hundertwasser Original Posters

The original posters were an important part of Hundertwasser's environmental protection strategy. Hundertwasser created, produced and dedicated the original posters to various international organizations, mostly environmental protection organizations, at their request. An original poster is consequently a work developed and designed by Hundertwasser in the course of the production process in the printing house. The first editions were distributed by the respective environmental protection organizations and their considerable proceeds could be used for their activities. Additional unlimited editions are still used today to spread environmental protection ideas. In the course of post-production over the decades, optical deviations may occur within the individual original poster editions due to changing technical conditions within the offset printing process and hot foil stamping. In Hundertwasser's catalog raisonné, all original posters have received their own work number due to Hundertwasser's creative work at the time of their creation.
