This picture book tells the story of a little girl who observes what is happening on the land opposite her house. A large house is now being built where her favorite tree grows on an overgrown plot of land. The girl is very worried about her tree and wonders what will happen to it when a big gray house is built there. But the new house will be very different: it won't have straight lines, but very diverse shapes and colors. In the end, she is happy to learn that all the trees and plants have not been destroyed, but have become "inhabitants" of the new building and have a home there just like the human inhabitants. In colorful and playful illustrations, this book describes and explains the main elements of Hundertwasser's architecture and tells of his architectural manifesto. At the end of the book there is information about Hundertwasser and his most famous building - the Hundertwasser House in Vienna.
